Anticipated increase The Early Childhood and Pre-Kindergarten Initiative is included in the school funding formula, and data for FY08 is not yet available. From FY06 to FY07, funding increased from $400 million to $472 million.

Decreases funding for the Prekindergarten Expansion Grant Program from $92.5 million to $91.8 million.

Decreases funding for the Texas Early Education Model (TEEM) from $10 million to $7.5 million.		 The budget includes a transfer of 20 million federal dollars from the Texas Workforce Commission to increase the reimbursement rates of child care providers who participate in TEEM.
