The Early Childhood and Pre-Kindergarten Initiative is funded through the school funding formula, and is projected to increase by $15.5 million to $730 million. Increases the Prekindergarten Early Start Grant Program by $12.5 million for a total of $104.3 million. Flat funds the Texas Early Education Model at $7.5 million.

Enrollment supported by the school funding formula is expected to increase by more than 7,000 to 207,548.
The Prekindergarten Early Start Grant Program will remain at $104.3 million for FY11 as part of the $25 million appropriation for the biennium.
