Pre-k in public and charter schools is included in the school funding formula. FY10 figures are not yet available, but an increase is expected due to higher enrollment.

The DC Council also appropriated additional funds to support expansion in charter schools and community-based organizations as well as quality enhancements. At press time, the exact amount is still being determined.
